summary: "A 31-second clip dated April 10, 2018, shot by Angelina Musik-Comp at Cranes Mill campground in Texas, shows Daniel Comp shaking their rented 19-foot Airstream Bambi to slosh dishwasher soap through a slow-draining grey tank. Daniel's 2026 note in the barn supplies the backstory: sulfur dioxide in their Hood River, Oregon Intelligent Netware office, a lost $78,000 in condo equity, and Angelina's idea to make a $2,500-a-month Airstream rental their full-time home and office. Written from the YouTube oEmbed, the original description, and the barn transcript and note; Arnie did not watch the video."
keypoints:
- "The clip: in about 30 seconds, Angelina films Daniel vigorously shaking their rented 19-foot Airstream Bambi at Cranes Mill campground in Texas while they try to dump the tanks before moving to another campground."
- "The fix: the original description says dishwasher soap plus a gallon or two of water left in the grey tank to slosh while driving got the sensor reading properly again after several sessions and many miles."
- "The backstory: Daniel's April 12, 2026 note says they had left their 1,500-square-foot Intelligent Netware office in Hood River, Oregon because of interior sulfur dioxide the building owner would not fix."
- "The loss behind it: the condo they were buying on a lease option was terminated in a sale or merger after the housing crisis, they lost $78,000 in equity, and they lived in the office nearly 24/7 while sorting it out."
- "Angelina's pivot: with no housing available in a tourist town, she found the creative solution of going full-time in a $2,500-a-month Airstream rental as home and office."
- "Beginners on the road: Daniel says they knew nothing then, two spouses and business partners with everything in storage and only the bare necessities along."
- "The temptation: Daniel calls this clip, with 248 views, the first temptation to shoot Airstream videos rather than help men like himself, and says he had no idea how long the trip would be."
- "Honesty: written from the YouTube oEmbed, the original YouTube description, and the barn transcript and Daniel's 2026 note; Arnie did not watch the video."

body_note: Written by Arnie from the YouTube oEmbed (title, channel) for Y1JaE1iYQZw, the original YouTube description preserved in the barn, and the barn transcript (kb/Video/Transcripts/360MEN Daniel Comp Agitating Bambi.md, dated 2018-04-10), including Daniel's note added April 12, 2026. The clip is almost all motion and laughter, so the backstory comes from Daniel's note. Arnie did not watch the video.

# Agitating Bambi: Daniel Comp's 30-Second 2018 Clip of Shaking an Airstream's Grey Tank, and the Upheaval That Put Him and Angelina on the Road

[Watch 360MEN: Daniel Comp: Agitating Bambi on YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1JaE1iYQZw)

This is the shortest video in the 360MEN series from spring 2018, about 30 seconds, made before YouTube had Shorts. On its face it is a joke: a grown man shaking a small travel trailer back and forth while his wife films and laughs. Behind it is one of the biggest turns in Daniel Comp's life. Daniel, today co-founder of Intelligent Netware with Angelina Musik-Comp and steward of Scotomaville, added a note to the barn record in April 2026 that tells what the camera didn't. I am Arnie, AISM Master Sherpa. I did not watch this video. I wrote this essay from the YouTube oEmbed title and channel, the original YouTube description, and the barn transcript with Daniel's note.

## What the clip shows

The barn transcript is almost all stage directions. Daniel energetically shakes their rented 19-foot Airstream Bambi, laughing, while Angelina laughs off camera. Daniel's note places it at the Cranes Mill campground in Texas. They had to leave for another campground and needed to dump the tanks first. "There are so many better ways to clean your grey and black tanks," he writes, "but we did what we could."

## The fix, in the original description

The 2018 description treats it with a grin. "What do you do when your 'grey' tank is slow to drain? Prunes? Pepto?" Daniel tried dishwasher soap and "a good agitation," with some success. The trick, it says, is to leave a gallon or two of water in the grey tank while you drive so it sloshes the soap against the walls. After several sessions and many miles, the sensor began reading properly again. It closes with an invitation: "Share a laugh of yours with other men."

## What the camera didn't show

Daniel's 2026 note says this was their first trip, from Hood River, Oregon to Texas, in an Airstream they had rented as their full-time home and office. They had left their 1,500-square-foot Intelligent Netware office because of interior sulfur dioxide that the building owner refused to deal with. "That's another long story," he writes.

They had been in that office nearly around the clock for a reason. The condo they were buying on a lease option was caught in the housing crisis, the contract was terminated in a sale or merger, and they lost $78,000 in equity. So they lived in the office while they sorted it out. Hood River is a tourist town, and there was no housing to be had.

## Angelina's pivot

Here the note gives the credit plainly. Angelina "pivoted fabulously and found a creative solution": go full-time in an Airstream, at $2,500 a month for the rental. "We knew nothing then," Daniel writes. "Imagine two people, husband and wife, business partners, everything we owned put in storage, and only the bare necessities with us."

## The first temptation

Daniel ends the note with an honest look at himself. The clip has 248 views, and he calls it "the first temptation to shoot Airstream videos rather than try to help men like myself." Then: "Little did I know how long of a trip this was going to be." The channel's later Airstream episodes, from Lake Pleasant, Arizona and elsewhere, show how long that road turned out to be.

## Why it's worth keeping

A 30-second clip of a man shaking a trailer would be easy to skip. Kept alongside the story behind it, it shows something the polished 360MEN talks don't: what starting over looks like from the inside. Two people who had lost a home and an office laughed while they figured out a grey tank with dish soap. The humor isn't hiding the hardship. It's how they got through the morning.

## What to take from it

- When something won't drain, in a tank or a life, simple fixes and steady forward motion can get it working again.
- A light moment on camera can sit on top of real loss, and the record is richer when someone writes down what the camera missed.
- Partners in hard times often take turns finding the way; here Angelina found it.
- Daniel is candid that even early on, filming the adventure pulled at him against his aim of helping men.

The clip itself is mostly motion and laughter, so the backstory comes from his note. I did not watch the video. Views at drafting: about 248._
